Visual Politics

Visual Politics is a project aimed at expanding the political discourse using complex visual aids to track malfeasance, conflicts of interest and other forms of corruption. The high level goal of this project is to provide information and to spread understanding of socio-political systems at a macro “at a glance” level. These graphs will not merely be educational but also socially and politically relevant.

I have produced a demo using jQuery SVG and Graphviz Dot. Powered by a flexible data model, this will help build node graphs similar to those used by the Washington Post and powered by Evri and Raphael JS.

I implemented comprehensive page caching, IMDB API integration, and helped move the site closer to completion.
